The Japanese are known as masters of puzzles. They have probably invented more puzzle games than any other nation in history. Many of them are still known and loved by thousands of people. And even more – countless varieties of classic games have been created over the years, especially with the appearance of the internet where game makers have received an ability to come up with any concepts and implement them into pixels on the screen. Blockudocku is one of them!

Can you clear the whole field?

So what exactly are we looking at? This is a unique combination of Sudoku (a word you probably know or have at least heard) and block puzzles. At the beginning of the level, you see a field that has nine cells horizontally and the same number of cells vertically. That’s where you need to move blocks of various shape to form lines and squares. Once you get an uninterrupted line that covers the whole length or width of the field or a square counting nine cells in total, the figure will disappear and you will end up with some extra space to continue your maneuvers.

The catch is that these blocks never stop appearing, and the game goes on as long as you still have room to add more of them. When the entire screen gets clumped up, you lose and get away with the amount of points you’ve been able to earn so far. The ultimate purpose of each Blockudocku player is to hold out as long as possible and reach a record score. You pass the level if the board is fully cleared of all blocks which is not an easy thing to do and requires quite a lot of practice. Shall we begin?

Think carefully and take your time!

The time in the game isn’t limited, so don’t be in a hurry to place another block in the first way that comes to your mind. If you find yourself in a complicated situation, take your time and think carefully. You have to really ponder on where to put this particular figure you’re about to add to the board. Maybe this move of yours will be the last, so make sure you calculate all possible options!

Try to place the figures in such a way that will allow you to create a maximum number of lines and squares at once. This way, you will be able to clear a big part of the field in one move and avoid it being cluttered with other figures. Since you can’t predict the shapes that are going to come in the next batch, you can’t really analyze it all in advance.
